SUB-CONTRACTOR TERMS

All payments are processed digitally through EEBS, our third-party payroll provider.

Subcontractors must complete all EEBS electronic forms in full via DocuSign using a smartphone or other device.

The following documents and details must be submitted:

  • A clear image or scan of a valid passport
  • A Right to Work share code where a British passport is not held
  • Full personal details, banking information, and contact information
  • Incomplete or incorrect forms will be rejected, and a new set of documents will be issued for re-submission
  • Payroll is processed every two weeks, with the payment run following a set timetable and funds released on the Friday after processing
  • Operatives starting mid-cycle will only be paid for the days worked in that period, with any full weeks worked paid in the next payment run
  • A fixed administration charge of £21.00 will be deducted by EEBS from gross wages each payment run
  • Public Liability Insurance must be held by all Subcontractors
  • Subcontractors may provide their own valid cover or opt into EEBS cover at a cost of £4.00 per week, deducted from gross pay
  • The EEBS option is less cost-effective than securing personal cover
  • A valid UTR number and CIS registration must be provided to ensure the standard CIS tax deduction is applied
  • If either is not provided, earnings will be taxed at the default 30% CIS rate as per HMRC rules
  • Responsibility lies with the subcontractor to ensure all onboarding documentation is completed correctly and submitted in line with payment deadlines
  • Subcontractors must sign in and out of site each day to confirm attendance. Failure to do so will result in payment being withheld for that day
  • Full Health & Safety documentation must be reviewed and signed prior to starting on site
  • Operatives must complete any relevant site-specific inductions and accept site rules
  • A recent passport photo must be submitted as part of the induction process
  • Valid CSCS cards and relevant training certificates must be submitted

Where the following training is not held, operatives will be required to complete online courses

  • Asbestos Awareness (within the last 12 months)
  • Manual Handling (within the last 3 years)
  • Working at Height (within the last 3 years)
